Timur

Timur (1336–1405), founder of the Timurid Empire, was a Turco-Mongol conqueror who led devastating campaigns across Central Asia, Persia, and India. He defeated the Ottoman Empire and Golden Horde, and his capital Samarkand became a cultural and architectural center.
