Each figure is scored on 6 dimensions (0—100 scale) based on structured historical data: Military (10%), Political (20%), Influence (20%), Legacy (20%), Leadership (15%), Strategy (15%). The weighted total produces the final ranking.
Scores are computed from structured sub-indicators in the database. Scale factors adjust for era (Ancient ×0.85, Modern ×1.0) and civilization size (Eastern ×1.05, Other ×0.80) to account for differences in population and military scale.
Comparisons are limited to 2—3 figures to ensure readability and statistical meaningfulness.
±5 points per dimension — Sub-scores are derived from historical records with inherent uncertainty. Two figures within 5 points on a dimension should be considered roughly equivalent in that area.
±3 points overall — The weighted combination of 6 dimensions produces a total score with approximately ±3 points of uncertainty. Differences of less than 3 points are not statistically significant— the figures are effectively tied.

Comparing these two is like comparing a forest fire to a camp stove. Deodoro literally led a bloodless coup that toppled an emperor because the guy didn't want to pay for a parade. He was the model of a 19th-century strongman. In contrast, Mohan Singh raised a 40,000-man army from captured prisoners of war, a logistical miracle under impossible conditions, but got outmaneuvered by the Japanese. Fonseca knew how to hold power; Singh only knew how to seize it for a moment.
As a data guy, I’m seeing a lot of romanticized story, but not enough body count. Deodoro's presidency lasted 2 years with zero major wars; his regime collapsed because of a naval revolt with 3 ships. Mohan Singh’s INA had maybe 40,000 at its peak, but 80% deserted by 1943. Both men failed to deliver lasting structures. You can dress it up as "founders of nations," but their actual control metrics are pretty pathetic.
